Standoff Ends With One Behind Bars

A standoff with police ended with one person behind bars Saturday in Wichita Falls. The Wichita Falls Police Department was called out to a home on the corner of Baylor St. and Trueheart St. at 11:16 a.m.

There were four people inside the home, according to police. When officers arrived two of the four came outside to speak with officers.

The couple informed officers that 37-year-old Jodi Reeves was swinging a knife and threatening people. Officers then attempted to make contact with the suspect and the other person still in the house but were unsuccessful.

The WFPD SWAT team was activated. Once SWAT arrived, Reeves was taken into custody without incident.

Reeves is now in the Wichita County Jail. She faces two counts of aggravated assault, one count of assault family violence, and the possession of dangerous drugs.
