Trial For Former Bowie Police Chief Delayed

The trial for a former Bowie Police Chief could start as early as November 2015.

David Lee Scruggs was supposed to be in court on Tuesday for the start of jury selection, but with the number of court proceedings in Montague County, his case was pushed back.

Scruggs is accused of abuse of official capacity.  He served the community of Bowie for nearly two decades until he was relieved of those duties on January 23rd 2014.
