City Leaders to be Honored

Several city leaders will be honored on Thursday by the Rotary Club of Southwest Wichita Falls.

It’s all a part of the first “Local Hero” award.  Mayor Glenn Barham, City Manager Darron Leiker, and Daniel Nix and Russell Schreiber from the city’s Public Works Department will all be presented with the award.

The club will make the presentations at 6:30p.m. at Luby’s.  That’s located at 1801 9th St. in Wichita Falls.

One club member said it is an honor to honor the city leaders who kept the water flowing and the citizens calm and dedicated to conservation.

The club initiated the Local Hero Award to recognize outstanding contributions to our community through excellence in business, service, and innovation.
