Flu season is back and local health officials are advising that people receive their vaccine shot. Flu shots can have various price ranges depending on where people go to receive them and if they are covered by some form of health insurance. At the Wichita Falls-Wichita County Public Health District officials said they can offer flu shots to adults with no coverage for prices as low as $25.
"Flu shots are $25, $30, and $35. But it is all based on income screening," said Lynette Williams,
Nursing Administrator at the Wichita Falls-Wichita County Public Health District.
The WFWCHD said that if there are any patients that cannot afford their income based scale vaccinations they will work to find an affordable vaccination somewhere else.
"It depends on your income, but also we are trying to protect the public so we will help you find some place that you can get it if you cannot afford those prices," said Williams.
If you experience coughing, fever or feeling feverish/chills, cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, muscle or body aches, headaches or fatigue you should seek medical help immediately.
