Aleksi Poikola netted two goals, including the eventual game-winner in the first period, and two assists to lead the Wichita Falls Wildcats to a 7-1 win, finishing a two-game road sweep of the Corpus Christi IceRays at the American Bank Center Friday night.
Andre Pison got the scoring started with a goal just seven seconds into the Wildcats' first power play of the night, tipping home a Max Reisinger shot for a 1-0 Wichita Falls lead 8:11 into the first period.
Poikola struck next, one-timing home a shot from Matt Hines for a 2-0 lead at 12:08 of the first.
He would a short-handed goal on the backhand, from an assist by Garret VanWyhe about five minutes into the second, and assisted on a pair of goals in the third period.
Austin Albrecht, Ben Lown, Jake Dalton and Nikita Litviak also scored for Wichita Falls (7-1-1, 15 pts), who built their lead to three points in the NAHL South division over Topeka, who lost at Odessa Friday night.
