New W.F. Utility Bill Questions Answered

The City of Wichita Falls released new information Tuesday, about the implementation of its new billing system. 

Here's a look at those changes and how the new system will affect Wichita Falls residents. 
 
Customers receiving E-statements and those paying through Bank Drafting require no action to continue these services. E-statement and Bank Drafting information has automatically been transferred into the new utility billing system. 

Utility customers can sign up for a new feature called Citizen Self Service. This service allows customers to monitor their account anytime, any day; view their utility usage history, make payments and set up new accounts. 

Sign-up for Citizen Self Serve is available on the City's website: www.wichitafallstx.gov. 

1. Go to wichitafallstx.gov. Click on Pay My Bill in the left-hand column. 

2. Click on the Citizen Self Serve link. 

3. Follow the prompts to register or login. 

4. Have your Account and Customer numbers ready to register a new account or access your current account. These numbers are found on both the old and new bills. Follow these instructions for finding and correctly identifying your Account and Customer numbers: 
OLD BILL (Customer number then Account number) 
The account and customer numbers are located in the left-hand bottom part of the stub and at the top of the stub above the name. There are two sets of numbers separated by a dash. 
As an example: 111111-222222 (from four to six numbers in either). 
The first set of numbers, 111111, is the Customer Number. 
The second set of numbers, 222222, is the Account Number. 
NEW BILL (Account number then Customer number) 
In the top portion of the new bill there are two sets of numbers separated by a dash. 
As an example: 333333-444444 (from four to six numbers in either). 
The first set of numbers, 333333, is the Account Number. 
The second set of numbers, 444444,is the Customer Number. 

5. Enter the Account and Customer numbers 

The City offers multiple methods of bill payment including: 
-Citizens Self Service 
-IVR Phone Payments 
-Payments by Mail 
-Automated Teller Kiosk open 24/7 at Memorial Auditorium, 1300 7th Street 
-Night Drop Box open 24/7 at Memorial Auditorium 
-Payments in person are accepted during normal business hours at the Utility Collections Office located on the 3rd floor of Memorial Auditorium.
