Creepy! Spider Webs Take Over Texoma

WICHITA FALLS, TX - You may have been noticing an abundance of spiders webs around Texoma and we aren't talking about Halloween decorations.

Jennica Lambert at the River Bend Nature Center says the webs are caused by 'ballooning' spiders.

Young spiders release a small string of web forming a triangular shaped parachute which can get carried away in the wind, sometimes traveling miles at a time.

Even though the webs can be a nuisance and extremely sticky, the spider-lings are harmless.
