Crews have contained a fire on Hacker Rd. in Iowa Park Wednesday afternoon.
Wichita Falls, Iowa Park and Kamay Fire Departments battled the blaze that sparked a just before 12:30 p.m.
Kamay Fire Chief Barry Tyler said that 30 to 40 acres were at risk but according to the Texas Forestry Service only about 8-10 acres burned in the fire.
Three homes were near the blaze, but were not damaged. One shed on a property was slightly burned.
Fire officials told Newschannel 6 they believe the fire was started from hot coals that were not disposed of properly.
