GOTW Week 9: Windthorst vs Hawley

Our Newschannel 6 Game of the Week for Week 9 of the High School Football season features the Windthorst Trojans hosting the Hawley Bearcats in a crucial District 4-2A Div. I matchup!

Windthorst is likely the only thing standing between Hawley and its first-ever district title. The Bearcats have already beaten fellow contenders Stamford and Anson, and with a win Friday, would need to lose to both Archer City and Olney, to not win the title.

For the Trojans, a win would be a big step toward winning the district, but they would still need to defeat Stamford and Anson to clinch outright.

Windthorst has been very good at home the past few seasons, winning six-straight games at Trojan Field dating back to Week 2 of 2014, and nine of their past ten dating to 2013.

We'll hear from the Trojans all week, leading up to kickoff, then we'll have extended highlights from Trojan Field, Friday night at 11 p.m. on the Friday Night High School Football Update, on the CW Texoma!

You can find the CW Texoma on DirecTV channel 5 throughout Texoma. If you are unable to get the CW where you live, you can watch the show LIVE, and for free, at Newschannel6Now.com or on the Newschannel 6 Android and iOS apps!
