NEW INFO: Man Charged In Connection To Stolen Iowa Park Dogs

New information was released Friday in the case of several stolen dogs in Iowa Park.

The Wichita County Sheriff's Office says 52-year-old Lee Allen Miller is the owner of the dogs.

The 26 Italian Greyhounds were seized from Miller this past Monday in terrible condition and Miller was arrested. The animals were taken to a makeshift shelter in Iowa Park. It was discovered they were missing around 8:00 a.m. Thursday.Sheriff David Duke says Miller came to the shelter and stole the dogs back.

Miller works for the Midway ISD in Clay County and the dogs were found behind the school in cages.

Five of the dogs are still missing. Miller told authorities the dogs escaped from their cages and he couldn't catch them. There is a lot of wildlife in the area and law enforcement officials are concerned about the safety of the dogs. If you see the dogs, call the Iowa Park Police Department at 592-2181.

Miller is charged with tampering with Physical Evidence with more charges pending.
