Wildcats Rally Past Lone Star in Overtime

The Wichita Falls Wildcats rallied late to defeat the Lone Star Brahmas 2-1 in overtime, and build on their lead in the NAHL's South Division.

Austin Beaulieu scored a short-handed goal with 2:06 remaining to tie the game at one, then defenseman Rourke Russell scored at the 1:43 mark of overtime to lift the 'Cats to the win.

It was Russell's first goal as a Wildcat.

Wichita Falls (10-1-1, 21 pts) now leads the South by 6 points over Lone Star. The teams will meet again Saturday night.
