An early morning car blaze turned into a house fire on the city's Eastside.

Firefighters with the Wichita Falls Fire Department were called out shortly after three Tuesday morning for a car on fire in the 1300 block of Rosewood Avenue.

Investigators say the fire started in the engine compartment of the car and quickly spread to the home. By the time firefighters arrived, the blaze had spread to the home.

It took firefighters about an hour to put out the flames.

No injuries were reported.

The flames caused about $23,000 in damage to the home and destroyed the car.
