Holliday running back Trace Grimstead earned Texas Ford Player of the Week honors after rushing for 140 yards and three touchdowns in the Eagles' 42-12 win over City View, which clinched a playoff spot for Holliday!
It's the Eagles' first playoff appearance since 2012, and their first under head coach Frank Johnson.
Grimstead picked up an average of seven yards per carry in the game Friday night in Wichita Falls, scoring two of the team's first three touchdowns to stake them to a 21-6 halftime lead they would not relinquish.
The Eagles finish the regular season Friday night with Senior Night, hosting the Millsap Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m.
They will face a tough test in their Bi-District game, when they will play the winner of Friday's District 4-3A Div. II title-deciding matchup between 8-0 Idalou and 9-0 Spearman.
