Local Thrift Store Gives Back To Animal Rescue Groups

After seeing the need in several animal welfare groups in Wichita Falls, one local woman is now hoping to make a difference.

Chasity Gales opened up the Lucky Dog Thrift Shop in Wichita Falls on October 28. She takes in donations of house hold items, decor, clothing and handmade items. She then donates the proceeds to several rescue groups in town including Miss Fannie's Feline and Canine Friends, Paws for Greatness, Texas Pit Crew, P.E.T.S and Emily's Legacy.

After being open for a little more than a month now, Gales says the response has been overwhelming.

"I get compliments daily about how great it is that I'm doing this," Gales said. "It fills my heart. I love to give back to them and be able to help anyway I can."

The Lucky Dog Thrift Shop is located at 4701 Southwest Parkway and is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm and on Sunday from noon until 5:00 pm. Donations can be brought in anytime during those business hours.
