More has been revealed about the man who was shot when authorities said he pulled a gun on a police officer.
Pete Miranda was booked into the Jackson County Jail on Saturday on a felony warrant for Concealing Stolen Property, Possession of Drugs and Use of a Firearm while Committing a Felony. An officer spotted Miranda Saturday and attempted to serve an arrest warrant. However, after barricading himself with a handgun in a bedroom of a home. Police said Miranda took off running down the street and took cover behind a car.
The officer then said he saw Miranda point a gun at him and so he fired several shots. Miranda suffered minor injuries, the officer on the scene was not hurt.
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is reviewing the shooting.
