WICHITA FALLS, TX - Tuesday night, the Wichita Falls Nighthawks announced additions to their coaching staff for the upcoming season.
They promoted Ernie Cooke to Defensive Coordinator. He's been with the team for every year of its existence, serving as Defensive Coordinator and later Head Coach while they were playing outdoors. He also served as an assistant last year in their first indoor season.
They also announced that Jasonus Tillery, who they introduced two months ago as a new assistant coach, will serve as both Co-Offensive and Co-Defensive Coordinator. He came to camp with the team last season as a player.
Also, Minor League Football Hall of Famer Ivory Howard has been hired to coach the team's defensive line. He held the same position for the outdoor Nighthawks in 2012.
The Nighthawks open their season with an exhibition game Monday night, February 22nd, against the Texas Stealth at the Kay Yeager Coliseum.
