One Person Arrested Following Whataburger Robbery

WICHITA FALLS, TX - Wichita Falls Police say they have arrested Brent Wayne Nichols in connection to the robbery Monday morning at the Whataburger on Central Freeway. Nichols now faces a charge of Aggravated Robbery.

According to Wichita Falls Police, a man walked into the Whataburger just after 4:30 a.m. Monday morning. He told the clerk he had a gun. However, he never showed the gun to the cashier.

He took off with an undisclosed amount of cash and was caught by police shortly after.

Police say no gun was found on the suspect.

This same Whataburger was robbed last Thursday as well, but police wouldn't say if the two were connected.

Nichols is a suspect in another attempted robbery at 3:12am Monday morning at the Executive Inn on Maurine Street. Police say the suspect handed the clerk a bag and a note. The suspect was described as a white male wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and a light colored bandana mask.
