Texoma Artist Has Work Put On Display

KAUZ KAUZ
WICHITA FALLS, TX -

Local Texoma artist, Laura Gillis, has gotten the opportunity to show off her work.
The 30 year Iowa Park resident has a display of numerous doodles at the Kemp Center For The Arts in the West End Studio.
Gillis worked on her doodles from January 1st to December 31st of 2015.
That is 365 pieces in all.
Gillis worked at Crane West as an art director in Wichita Falls and recently retired.
After doing so, she decided to work on her hobby of blogging.
That is where the idea of this doodle art project was born.
Gillis says some of her doodles are dedicated to her mother, who lost a battle with breast cancer a little over a year ago.
On her blog, yellowcatart.blogspot.com, she has blurbs of what she was thinking when she drew each picture.
Gillis says she hopes people find the display fun and wants people to use their imagination when looking at the images.
The display will be up until March 19th.
