TEXAS (KAUZ) - The Texas DMV wants you to be prepared for the second phase of the "Two Steps. One Sticker" Program
As of March 1, 2016 Texans will have one expiration date for both inspection and registration. Here is what you need to do be in compliance with the new regulations.
Step 1: Pass a vehicle inspection no earlier than 90 days prior to your registration expiration and retain your vehicle inspection report.
Step 2: After your vehicle passes inspection, renew your registration online, by mail or in person at your county tax office, and your inspection status will be verified electronically.
The "Two Steps. One Sticker" campaign began in March of 2015.
