WICHITA FALLS, TX -

For the last two years, the YMCA of Wichita Falls has sponsored a baseball league that has touched many lives.
It is called The Miracle League and it is not your ordinary baseball league.
This unique league caters to those who might not have the opportunity to play otherwise.
The Miracle League was developed with the motivation that every child deserves a chance to play baseball regardless of their physical or mental abilities.
It gives all kids the opportunity to play America's Pastime and do so on a special surface that allows children with special needs to participate.
Andrew Steinly, Marketing Director of the YMCA, says this league is extremely meaningful to a large group of people in Texoma.
And they want as many kids to sign up as they can get.
Unique features in Miracle League games include every player batting once each inning, all the players are safe on the bases and every player scores a run before the inning is over just to name a few.
Community volunteers also serve as buddies to assist.
Opening Day will be April 2nd and Closing Day will be May 14th.
The games will be played at Miracle Field right next to Memorial Stadium.
Steinly also says this league truly does warm his heart and he loves seeing the kids smile.
The games will be played at 9, 10 and 11 a.m. every Saturday.
You can sign up at www.ymcawf.org or at the YMCA.
There is no cost for those who participate.
