WICHITA FALLS, TX (KAUZ) -There is new information about a body found in the Wichita River on Saturday.
We now know the name of the man found.
Wichita Falls Police said the body is that of 57-year-old James Sherman Hopkins.Officials said is Hopkins was a resident in the Wichita Falls area, and was known to police.
Hopkins body was found Saturday by two joggers on the south bank of the river.Police are still working to find answers, however they do not believe it to be a homicide at this time.An autopsy will be performed in Tarrant County in the coming weeks, but police should know if there was any trauma to the body in the next few days.
The call about the body came in just before noon on Saturday, after joggers, running near the Wichita River, found a body in the water.
