WICHITA FALLS, TX -

An elderly woman is rushed to the hospital, and traffic along a busy roadway is redirected for nearly and hour following a collision in Wichita Falls.

Police said just before 1:30p.m. a maroon sedan was headed southbound in the center lane of Kemp Boulevard  when a silver sedan on the northbound side attempted to make a left turn onto Maplewood Ave.

Officers said the turning car had a green yielding light, not a green arrow light, indicating oncoming traffic had stopped.

One woman was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, and traffic was redirected for 45 minutes, while the wreckage was removed from the scene.
