WICHITA FALLS, TX -

Many topics were discussed at the Wichita Falls town hall meeting Thursday evening.
This town hall gave people the opportunity to pose their questions and concerns to local city officials.
The main topic came from the Eastside Ministerial Alliance, who wanted city officials to reconsider their decision made about 15 years ago to discontinue police funeral escorts.
City Manager Derron Leiker says the only option to consider would be a private service.
Leiker says the police department cannot do funeral escorts anymore because of how many officers it would take off the street.
He also said a private service could be tricky because, by Texas law, they have to obey the law and cannot run red lights.
