CU Basketball Coach Resigns

LAWTON, OK (KAUZ) -

Cameron University men's basketball head coach Nate Gamet resigned Wednesday, to take a non-coaching job in his home state of Missouri.

He will be replaced by his top assistant, Andrew Brown. A former head coach at Northwestern Oklahoma State, 2015-16 was Brown's first in Lawton.

Gamet led the Aggies to a record of 40-44 after taking over on the eve of the 2013 LSC Tournament.

His team's win totals increased each year he was head coach, with a 16-12 record this year, spending much of the season in first place in the LSC before reaching the tournament semifinals for the second-straight year.

Gamet will become facilities director at North Central Missouri College.
