Four dead following accident in Jefferson County
JEFFERSON COUNTY, OK (KAUZ)- Four people were killed in a car crash Friday night in Jefferson County. It happened around 9:20 p.m. about a half a mile south of the Stephens-Jefferson County line on U.S. Highway 81.
A 2004 Chevy truck was headed southbound on U.S. 81 when the vehicle went left of center and hit a Toyota truck heading northbound, according to the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety.
 The Chevy truck caught fire and the driver of the truck, 21-year-old Gerardo Almeida Marquez of Duncan, and one passenger, 19-year-old Micaila Scism of Camanche, were pinned inside.
Marquez, Scism, along with a  third passenger, 21-year-old Daniel Garcia of Duncan, were all pronounced dead by the state medical examiner’s office,

In the Toyota truck, a 10-year-old boy from Wichita Falls also died from his injuries. If you would like to help the family you can follow this link. The Toyota truck driver, 34-year-old Robert Surginer of Electra, was transported to the OU medical Center with serious injuries.

Also in that vehicle was 19-year-old Kyla Surginer of Wichita Falls. Suringer was 8 months pregnant and the unborn child passed away due to the injuries sustained in the crash, but Suringer was transported to the OU medical center with serious conditions.
A 9-year-old, and a 5-year-old from Wichita Falls were also in the Toyota. The 9-year-old was transported to OU in fair condition, while the 5-year-old was transported to Duncan Regional Hospital in fair condition.
