WICHITA FALLS, TX - UPDATE: An early morning fire caused $300,000 worth of damage at the Ashley Furniture store in Wichita Falls Sunday morning, according to Wichita Falls fire officials. Fire crews were called out to the scene around 6:20 a.m. for a three-alarm fire.
The blaze took crews an hour to get under control, but they remained on scene for a couple additional hours to monitor the area. One firefighter suffered minor injuries after getting a piece of debris in his eye, according to fire officials. He was checked out at the hospital, but later sent home.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
EARLIER: The Ashley Furniture store, off Kell Boulevard in Wichita Falls, caught fire early Sunday morning around 6:20 a.m. Units from the Wichita Falls Fire Department and Sheppard Air Force Base worked to extinguish the blaze.
There is no word on the exact cost of the damage done, according to fire officials. The fire is still under investigation.
