Alex Achten joined the Newschannel 6 News team in September 2015 as a photojournalist. Alex eased into reporting in January 2016 and is now a full time reporter.

Alex graduated from the A.Q. Miller School of Journalism and Mass Communications at Kansas State University in May 2015. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Leadership Studies. While at K-State, Alex participated in Channel 8 News in various roles including anchor, reporter and producer just to name a few.

Alex was born and raised in Kansas City. If you ever see him on the streets outside of work, he will probably be wearing Kansas City Chiefs or Kansas City Royals gear. Alex has a passion for news and wants to have a positive impact on the people of Texoma by telling the stories that they want to see.
