WICHITA FALLS, TX - Leadership of Wichita Falls plans to host annual T.H.O.R. competition for the fifth year this coming month on April 9th at Lucy Park. The name stands for Texoma Hellacious Obstacle Course, and anyone is able to take part in the competition. The course is described by LWF members as being a fun 5k'ish (around 3 miles) course that is full of adventure.
"It's a lot of fun last year we had 1,000 people actually run the competition and around 2,000 people showed up at the T.H.O.R. Village," said Fernando Tezaguic.
The T.H.O.R. Village a site for local vendors to set up and sell their merchandise located near the course. Tickets cost $50 for adults and $30 for kids who wish to compete. However, if your a student or military member you can get a $10 discount on your entry fee. Jim Cadott of LWF said that all proceeds from this competition go towards local non-profits that will be sure to help benefit the Texoma community.
"Come in any shape you don't have to be an athlete to participate in this. It's a good time, a fun time, and a lot of people come in costumes. It's a fun event and a good time for the community," said Cadott.
