GRAND ISLAND, NE - The Wichita Falls Nighthawks rolled to their third-straight win Friday night, beating the Nebraska Danger on the road by a 64-55 final.
Quarterback Charles McCullum completed 10/18 passes for 152 yards and four touchdowns with no interceptions, while also rushing for 26 yards on three carries. Wide receiver Troy Evans, just signed from Nebraska two days ago, caught five passes for 98 yards and two of the scores and ran for another.
The Nighthawks (3-1) used a 21-10 second quarter to open up some separation and never trailed again, becoming the first road team to win at the Heartland Events Center in Grand Island since the 2014 season. The three-time defending Intense Conference champion Danger fell to 3-2 with their second-straight loss.
After another bye this coming week, the Nighthawks will be back home at the Kay Yeager Coliseum on Saturday, April 9th to face the Tri-Cities Fever.
