7-Eleven Robbery Witness Speaks

WICHITA FALLS, TX - Wichita Falls Police released surveillance footage Friday of an attempted armed robbery in the early morning hours of Wednesday.
Newschannel 6 spoke with one witness who is seen in that video trying to purchase some snacks as the two suspects walked in with a gun.
Since the suspects are still on the loose we're going to refer to this witness as Paul.

"We went in and  grabbed our items, went to the counter and after we got through paying out, right before we walked out two guys came in and pointed the guns at us and told us to get our hands in the air, and then they told us to turn around and walk towards the wall," Paul said.

A little before 1:00 a.m. Wednesday the pair of would be thieves entered the 7-Eleven on Kemp Blvd. and Seymour Hwy demanding money from the clerk. Both had their faces covered with what Paul thought were paint ball masks.

"I thought you know if they were to shoot him, we'd probably be next," Paul said.

Instead of opening the register, the clerk instead pressed a panic button under the counter. That triggered lights and sirens to go off inside the store.
One of the suspects headed for the door, but the other kept the gun pointed at the clerk and then picked up a soda and threw it at him before running out.
While this was a scary ordeal for all those involved, Paul has no hard feelings towards the would be thieves.

"It was probably just a dumb decision on their part and they came in wanting to get a quick few hundred dollars, but they didn't really want to hurt anybody," Paul said.

If you recognize the suspects in this surveillance footage give Crime Stoppers a call at (940) 322-9888.
