Tres Segler Leaving MSU for Eastern NM

PORTALES, NM (KAUZ) -

Midwestern State University's top men's basketball assistant Tres Segler was announced Tuesday as the new head coach at Eastern New Mexico University. He will be introduced at a news conference Wednesday, April 13, at 3:30 p.m. (CDT) in Portales.

Segler came to MSU in the fall of 2009, along with Grant McCasland and Nelson Haggerty, and became the top assistant when Haggerty was promoted to head coach following McCasland's departure for ACU, and then Baylor. All three are now head coaches after McCasland took over at Division-I Arkansas State a few weeks ago.

On a personal note, Newschannel 6 wants to thank Tres Segler and his family for their time in Wichita Falls, and to wish them the best of luck in Portales.
