WICHITA FALLS, TX - For the fifth time in five games this season, the Wichita Falls Nighthawks had a player earn weekly honors from the IFL on Wednesday.
After his very first game as a Nighthawk, Max Davis was named the league's Defensive Player of the Week.
He recorded a dozen tackles, three for loss, with two sacks, a forced fumble and a pass breakup to lead the "Nightmare" defense in the win over Tri-Cities.
Next up for the Nighthawks is possibly their toughest game all year, a trip to five-time defending league champion Sioux Falls, who owns a 58-game home winning streak.
