WICHITA FALLS, TX - The Animal Service Center in Wichita Falls is now functioning at full capacity after losing power Tuesday evening.
"We regained our power yesterday afternoon around two o'clock," Katrena Mitchell, Animal Services Administrator for the city of Wichita Falls said.
Despite getting the power back on the antenna that feeds the facility's phone lines and computers had been knocked off alignment.
"We don't have a way to input all the animals into our computer system or output animals. Or owners reclaim or do adoptions and so we're just kind of at a standstill right now until we get everything up and going," Mitchell said.
Generators allowed the facility to care for the animals inside with minimal electricity and running water.
Wednesday afternoon that antenna was realigned and systems were restored for the facility.
"We thank everybody for being patient with us and understanding," Mitchell said.
