Archer City's Kyle Signs with Cisco College Rodeo

ARCHER CITY, TX (KAUZ) - Archer City High School seniors Brady Kyle is the Wildcats' star pitcher on the baseball diamond, but that's not the only sport he excels at.

On Friday, he signed to compete in rodeo for Cisco College, where he'll specialize in Team Roping.

He's been competing since a young age.

"I started out roping when I was two years old," Kyle said. "My dad got in to it. My whole family's done it all my life, so I rolled right in to it and I've been doing it ever since."

Kyle has a busy weekend. After playing in Friday's high school baseball playoff game, he'll head down to Fort Worth to compete in a finals rodeo Saturday morning. Then, he'll head back up to Bowie to play for the Wildcats at 3 p.m. as they try to stay alive in their series with Lindsay. On Sunday, he'll be back in Fort Worth for another finals rodeo.

He said he has thought about walking on to the Cisco baseball team, but with a schedule like that, he says he's better off just focusing on the rodeo.
