WICHITA FALLS, TX (KAUZ) - For the second week in a row, Wichita Falls RB Tyler Williams has been named IFL Offensive Player of the Week.
A week after rushing for 125 yards and three touchdowns, Williams (5'7,175, Akron) accounted for seven total touchdowns in the Nighthawks 62-48 rally over the Nebraska Danger. Williams proved to be a workhorse near the end zone as he rushed for six touchdowns on 17 carries. The running back added another touchdown through the air.
The six rushing touchdowns ties Williams for the second-most in IFL single-game history. This is Williams' third IFL Player of the Week selection this season after being named IFL Special Teams Player of the Week in Week 4 and Offensive Player of the Week in Week 13.
The Nighthawks travel to Nebraska to face a rematch with the Danger on Friday night at 7:05 p.m.
