WICHITA FALLS, TX (KAUZ) - Three Texoma athletes announced either commitments or signings on Thursday!
Bowie High School track and field star Zeke Vaughan signed to compete for Angelo State University in the Lone Star Conference, where he'll focus on the high jump but also may run hurdles. He medaled in both events at the UIL 3A State Meet this month.
Rider High School soccer standout Oby Okeke signed to compete for Oklahoma Christian University. She was a three-year varsity starter and two-year captain who was named Team MVP this past season and also earned TASCO second-team all-region honors.
Finally, Wichita Falls Wildcats forward Jonathan Lazarus committed to play for Division I UMass-Amherst on Thursday. He scored 89 points in 121 career games as a Wildcat, including nine in as many games in this year's run to the Robertson Cup final. He will start playing in Massachusetts in the fall.
