OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Oklahoma County District Attorney David Prater says he's asked state investigators to expand their criminal probe surrounding the former top attorney for the Health Department who wrote the state's new medical marijuana rules. Prater confirmed late Thursday he learned of a text exchange between attorney Julia Ezell and the State Board of Pharmacy's Executive Director Chelsea Church in which Church appears to offer Ezell a job at the agency in exchange for favorable rules on medical marijuana.

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - BancFirst is proceeding with plans for an extensive renovation of Cotter Ranch Tower in anticipation of its $23 million purchase of the bankrupt landmark in downtown Oklahoma City. The Oklahoman reports that the tower languished under the ownership of the late James Cotter of Texas. The property ended up in receivership and then bankruptcy after Cotter's death. BancFirst Executive Chairman David Rainbolt said the redevelopment also would allow the bank to increase its downtown workforce.

More than half of the 17 people killed when a tourist boat sank on a Branson lake were members of the same Indiana family, and they likely wouldn't have been on the ill-fated trip but for a ticket mix-up.
