WICHITA FALLS, TX (KAUZ) - The 79th Oil Bowl Game will kick off Saturday night at 7:30 at Memorial Stadium in Wichita Falls.
This edition of the game will be the most local one yet, with more than half of the players hailing from the Texoma area.
Coaching the West team will be Childress Head Coach Jason Sims, formerly of Quanah, with assistants Aubrey Sims of Iowa Park and Frank Johnson of Holliday.
For the East, Henrietta Head Coach Byron West will lead a staff that also includes Rider's Marc Bindel and Callisburg's Richie Pinckard. West previously coached the Texas team in the 2011 version of the game and played for Oklahoma in the 1989 contest.
Check back with Newschannel 6 later this week as we head out to practice to hear from some of the players and coaches!
