WICHITA FALLS, TX (KAUZ) - An early morning robbery at a convenience store in Wichita Falls leads to a chase.

Just before 3 a.m. Wednesday morning, police responded to a holdup alarm at the 7-11 on Maurine Street.

Details are limited, but authorities say a black male got away with a pack of cigarettes and an unknown amount of rolled coins.

Police got a description of the suspect and the vehicle he was traveling in.

Within 15 minutes, police spotted the car and initiated a traffic stop at MLK Boulevard and Cleveland Avenue.

The passenger ran away, but police were able to catch him in the area of Cleveland and Barwise street and arrest him.

Police say because the passenger had a pacemaker, he was transported to United Regional to be checked out.

Orlando Blake Young has since been charged with Evading Arrest, Resisting Arrest, and Theft Under $750, with two prior convictions.

The driver will also be charged with Theft Under $750, with two prior convictions.
