WICHITA FALLS, TX (KAUZ) - The North American Hockey League released its 2016-17 schedule Thursday morning, and the Wichita Falls Wildcats will play the first game of the league season.
They will host the Amarillo Bulls on Friday, September 9th at 7:05 p.m. in a 1-game series. The following weekend they'll play a 3-game home set against Corpus Christi, running from Friday through Sunday with all games at 7:05 p.m.
The league's annual Showcase Tournament, in Blaine, Minnesota, will be played from September 21-24 with a schedule to be released later.
A notable aspect of the Wildcats' schedule is that they will play no home games in the month of December. After a 2-game home series with the Odessa Jackalopes November 25-26, they don't play another home game until January 6, against their new division foe, the Shreveport Mud Bugs.
