"Peach Day" at the Wichita Falls Farmers Market

WICHITA FALLS, TX (KAUZ) -

Saturday was "Peach Day" at the Wichita Falls Farmers Market located Downtown, and peach cobbler was on the menu.
150 pounds of peach cobbler was served along with 20 gallons of ice cream.
Those who helped put on the event said about 1,000 people got a piece as a thank you.

“It celebrates our peach session, so we serve free cobbler and ice cream. It’s kind of our way to give back to the public for coming out and supporting us through  the summers,” said Becky Morath, the president of the Charlie-Thornberry Farmers Market Association.
Morath said her association has been at the Wichita Falls Farmer's market since 2006.
