TSMCA all-stars gather in Wichita Falls

WICHITA FALLS, TX (KAUZ) -

The Texas Six-Man Coaches Association annual all-star football and basketball games will be this weekend in Wichita Falls.

The Division II football game will be Friday night at 7:30 p.m. at Memorial Stadium. 

Saturday sees the girls' and boys' basketball games at D.L. Ligon Coliseum with the girls at noon and the boys at 2 p.m., then the Division I football game at 7:30 p.m., back at Memorial.

Local players include three Newcastle Bobcats. Matthew Love, Kyle Crossland and Trinity Bohannan suit up for the Division I East team.

The Division I West team features Crowell's Daniel Clark, as well as former Throckmorton star Coletyn King. King's stepfather, former Throckmorton coach Shane Mallory, will be the team's head coach.

In Division II, five Texoma players will play for the East. Connor Pautsky represents Chillicothe, Glen Cook is from Northside, Stetson McPherson represents Woodson, and both Malaci Moore and Taten Vann hail from Forestburg.

In the boys' basketball game, Knox City's Ryan Heard will play for the West while Bellevue's Jakob Watkins will be on the East team. For the girls, Makaylie Steele of Knox City is on the West team playing for Houndettes coach Dylan Ballard, while Newcastle's Heather Manos plays on the East team.
