ALBUQUERQUE, NM (KAUZ) - Rising Midwestern State University golf senior Sierra Campbell won the Albuquerque Women's Championship Monday, while also finishing second in another event played simultaneously.
She won the city title with a three-round score of 217, 1 over par, while finishing 4 shots behind Arkansas-Little Rock's Shania Berger, who shot 213 (-3) to win the New Mexico-West Texas Amateur title.
The two tournaments were played concurrently, players in the field competing for one or both of the titles. Campbell won as the low Albuquerque native in the field.
Campbell led the Mustangs with an average score of 75.91 as a junior, with 5 of the team's 6 rounds under-par for the season.
