WICHITA FALLS, TX (KAUZ) - UPDATE: The Wichita Falls Police Department says the passenger on the motorcycle, 38 year old Shaunda Toft, passed away from her injuries related to the accident.
ORIGINAL STORY: Wichita Falls Police have identified the man killed in a motorcycle accident Saturday Morning.
WFPD said 37-year-old, Robert Joshua Loudermilk died after crashing his motorcycle off a Wichita Falls road.
Law enforcement officials were called out to an injury accident at the intersection of Harding Street and Thompson Road sometime after one Saturday morning.
Officers said this was a single vehicle accident with both the driver and the lone passenger of a 2007 Yamaha motorcycle involved.
Police said Loudermilk was heading east down Harding Street when he attempted to turn onto Thompson Road before hitting a median, losing control of his bike, and being thrown off his cycle.
WFPD said Loudermilk died at the scene as a result of massive trauma from hitting his head on a curb.
The female passenger also suffered various head injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
There is no update on her condition.
Officials said it appears that both were not wearing helmets at the time of the impact.
This accident remains under investigation.
