Adoption agency celebrates expansion to Wichita Falls

WICHITA FALLS, TX (KAUZ) - The Presbyterian Children's Homes and Services recently expanded to new markets in the state of Texas.
In honor of the news, the organization hosted a meet and greet in Wichita Falls Thursday afternoon with clients, parents and adopted families in the area to celebrate their continuum of care and services.
Pat Stacy, an adoptive father, was the special guest speaker and shared his personal story.
Stacy said the local branch has grown and appreciates all the help it can get.
"If you want to change this world and touch the heart of the world, you've got to touch the heart of a child first," Stacy said. "And when you start touching the heart of those children, you are going to change the heart of our world."
Cynthia Winters, Western Regional Director, said the agency has grown tremendously over time.
"We've gone from three staff members to 13," Winters said. "We are expanding as far as staff and the children we serve. We need foster parents and adoptive families."
The group also spoke about the unique approach the agency is taking with their #BirthMomStrong campaign and how they work together to help Texas families grow at a time non-agency adoptions are on the rise. For more information, click here.
