Streets filled with bright colors to honor Hispanic heritage month

Bright colors and festive filled the streets of downtown Wichita Falls with a parade to honor Hispanic Heritage month.

The Fiestas Patrias ran from Indiana to Scott Street, with tons of volunteers waving and passing out treats to the crowd.

It's something that everybody enjoys," said Maria Kalbfliesh, a member of the Lady Guadalupe Church.   "The more people we get the better it gets for us and for the entries too they get excited to see the people."

The parade was started by the Lady Guadalupe Church in efforts to not only show Hispanic Heritage, but to also include others in the community.

Hispanic Heritage month runs from September 15 to October 15.
