Cars were lined up at the Kohl's parking lot Saturday morning and it was all to make sure the children in the back seat were safe.
Kohl's Cares and United Regional provides car seat inspections for parents on everything from checking expiration dates and recalls, to measuring kids to make sure they were in the right seat.
New car seats were given to anyone who did not have a seat up to code thanks to donations to the program.
Many parents were pleased to see the organization doing this for the community.
"I think that it is amazing that people in our community are willing to go out of their way on a Saturday morning and help other people in our community," said Ashleigh Erwin, mother of two young boys with a third on the way. "I think that's great."
The fire department along with the Med Vac Helicopter also paid a visit for the kids.
