WF City Council approves incentives for new businesses

WICHITA FALLS, TX (KAUZ) -

It is now official; USA 800 is coming to Wichita Falls within the next month.

This comes after council members passed an ordinance six to one on October 18, approving a $3.4 million incentives package for the call center to open in the city on Airport Drive.

President of the Wichita Falls Chamber of Commerce Henry Florsheim; believes this is huge for the city on numerous different levels.

"The more people that are working, the better off we all are. The more sales taxes that are generated, the more people that are able to support their families."

Last week the employee owned group held a career fair and are doing the same through October 19.

They have already hired more than 250 employees and hope to get that number up to 650 in the future.
