Suspect hits two cars, apprehended by citizens until police arrive

WICHITA FALLS, TX (KAUZ) -

After crashing into two cars Saturday night, a suspect was arrested with the help of some Wichita Falls residents.

Police said the first accident happened around 8 p.m. when the driver of a white Ford Explorer crashed into the back of a car on Southwest Parkway near Maplewood, and then fled the scene.

Officers said witnesses followed that driver to McGaha Avenue, where they wrecked their SUV into a parked car.

WFPD said neighbors and witnesses apprehended the driver until police showed up and made the arrest.

A woman who was in the car that was rear-ended was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the SUV has been identified as Taylor Parker.  He was booked in the Wichita County Jail and is charged with Failure to Stop and Render Aid and DWI
