Red Ribbon Week raises awareness about drug use

It's national Red Ribbon Week and most Wichita Falls ISD campuses have come up with unique ways to remind kids to stay drug free.
From hidden from drugs day, where students wear camo, to team up against drugs, where kids find a friend and dress up like twins.

And things got crazy today at Ben Franklin Elementary School, where it was sock it to drugs day.
Crazy socks could be seen through out the halls, while the school's principal Angie Betts says that this week is a lot of fun; the message it delivers is serious.

"We believe its important to keep kids off drugs keep them safe and teach them to grow up and be productive members in our community."

She says during the fun, counselors visit classrooms giving students information and teaching them the drug free pledge.
The children even got to sign the, "we pledge to be drug free", poster.
